LESLIE DAWN SIGVALDASON (GOODMAN) After a short but courageous battle with cancer it is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Leslie Dawn Sigvaldason on Monday, January 18, 2010 at the age of 52 with her family at her side. She is survived by Lorne her beloved husband of 32 years. Her children Clayton and Krystle and her grandson Austin. Her mother Jonina Goodman, sisters Deb (Dave) Allan, Bev (Gord) Widenmaier, Maureen (Dan) Palsson and brother Darryl (Kathy) Goodman, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and many good friends. Predeceased by her father Bennie in 1994. Leslie was born and raised in Arborg and then later moved to Stonewall. She volunteered at Bobby Bend School before beginning her career as an Educational Assistant at Centennial School and later at Stonewall Collegiate where she was for many years. She will be sadly missed by her co-workers and many students whom she truly cared about. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall. Private family interment at a later date.
